Setting colors in the color picker

Mar 18, 2010 at 3:45 PM

How can I set the list of colors for the text / text background color picker?

A description of how to do this with the config.js file can be found here: http://docs.cksource.com/ckeditor_api/symbols/CKEDITOR.config.html#.colorButton_colors

I have tried to add the following to my web.config, but it doesn't seem to work...

<add name="CKHtmlEditorProvider"
            type="WatchersNET.CKEditor.CKHtmlEditorProvider, WatchersNET.CKEditor"
            providerPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/CKEditor/"
            ck_skin="black"
            ck_toolbar="Basic"
            ck_browser="standard"
            ck_colorButton_colors="003F69" />

Any thoughts?

Put the Setting inside the Config.js file its located at ..\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\CKEditor. And simply add the line to the config: config.colorButton_colors = '003F69';

Thanks - I knew this was an option, but I was reluctant to do it because of the risk of overwriting this file with a CKeditor upgrade.

I will make the change for now, do you think if you be possible to add a config file option to either the web.config, or under "Cutom editor options" so I can specify my settings in a file like myCustom_settings.js?

Thanks

I will make a new setting like the styles list, or the template list to upload and select a custom config file. that solves the problem.
