Embed media not working in IE 9

Apr 18, 2012 at 8:06 AM

Hi

Tried to add a Youtube video to the editor with "Embed Media". The dialog box opened ok. But after I have inserted the data into the dialogbox, the "OK" button is not working. Nothing happens when I click the button.

DNN: 5.6.2

CK Provider: 1.14.02

Browser: IE 9.0.81112

I do not see this error in Chrome, do you have any clues on why this only happens in IE 9?

Ok to solve this problem i will replace this plugin in the next release with a better plugin to add embedded code. A more user friendly one where you simply enter the url of the youtube video. I might have to code my own plugin to solve this.

New Version is out inlcuding my new Plugin, the Plugin uses oEmbed. You only have to enter the url of the Video,Image or Content you want to include and the Plugin automatically adds the needed code. It Supports a huge list of sites.

Sorry i forget to mention it is a new Plugin, you need to Update Your toolbarset and add "oEmbed" as toolbar to it, or if you use the default ones simply delete the "CKToolbar.xml" in your portal homedirectory "../Portals/[YOURPORTALID]" a new file will be automatically created when you reload a page with an editor on it.

FYI, I found out you need to use oEmbed, not eEmbed

Hi.

Have you altered the oEmbed tag in version 1.14.5? I cannot get it to work. When I add the tag, the button does not show up in the editor.

Can you take a look at your config.js if the plugin is included?

config.extraPlugins = 'oEmbed,syntaxhighlight,tableresize,stylesheetparser,qrcodes,newsarticleslinks,codemirror,dnnpages';

Yes, it is added to the config.js,

We use a custom configuration on the toolbars.

If you sure you added it correctly "oEmbed" not oembed and cleared the browser cache. Then the only place left to check is the Javascript error log.

By the way the plugin is working fine in IE9 for me.

Here is the content of the config.js file:

CKEDITOR.editorConfig = function( config )
{
  // Define changes to default configuration here. For example:
  // config.language = 'fr';
  // config.uiColor = '#AADC6E';
  config.extraPlugins = 'oEmbed,syntaxhighlight,tableresize,stylesheetparser,qrcodes,newsarticleslinks,codemirror,dnnpages';
  config.entities_greek = false;
  config.entities_latin = false;
};

I'll check the error log.

I had not deleted the browser cache well enough. Tried with another browser, and it worked.

Thanks for all help!
