WYSIWYG for CKEditor ?

Feb 5, 2013 at 7:30 PM
Hello,

Currently, my CKeditor area (where I type the text) is not wysiwig.
Some css is not taken into account. In particular, the css used in my skins, in Portals/Default_/skins/xxxx/skins.css

Where could I set this, so CKeditor, this excellent HTML Editor, is fully wysiwyg ?
Thanks a lot,

In the editor settings you can include the your skin.css under Main Settings -> Editor area CSS If you you want to use specific styles i put up a little guide here:

http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Add%20Custom%20Styles&referringTitle=Documentation

If you you still have questions let me know.

Wonderful tha_watcha,

Thanks a lot for your fast answer.

In fact, my skin is installed in Portals/Default_ (and not Portals/0). Therefore, I can't access it through the EDITOR Area CSS... What is the possibility ?
Should I move my CSS styles into portal.css instead of the skin.css file ?? Or should I create a 'copy' of skin.css that I refer into CKeditor ? But in such case, each time I make a modification in skin.css, I need to duplicate it into the CKEditor style.
What's your opinion ?

Otherwise, in the provided link, you explain how to customize the list of available styles. That's also what I would like to do, but I would like to keep existing one and slightly modify it. Where is the XML file stored for the default one ???

Thanks,

The Problem is that the url control that shows the folders does not allow me to set the folders which are shown. So there is no way to include more folders or other folders. So you could create a separate css for the editor (what i would recommend because sometimes the skin.css breaks the editor) or you link to your skin.css by pointing to the absolute url.

the Default one is in the Provider Folder ...\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\CKEditor in the styles.js file

Keep it simple:
  1. make a copy of the ckeditor's contents.css into your Portals/0 folder and rename it to my_contents.css
  2. add an import command from your skin.css as the first line
  3. delete unnecessary tags
For example:
@import url(/site/Portals/_default/Skins/YourSkin/skin.css);

body
{
    margin: 10px;
}
  1. Change to > Customer Editor Options > Main Settings > Editor area CSS > File Location > from "None Specified" to "my_contents.css"
  2. ready!
